The Yanmar 3JH40 is a three-cylinder, naturally aspirated marine diesel from Yanmar's JH common rail series, rated 29.4 kW (40 mhp) at 3000 rpm at the crankshaft (28.2 kW / 38 mhp at the propeller shaft) from 1.642 L (88 x 90 mm bore x stroke). It uses direct injection with an electronically controlled common-rail system (up to 150 MPa), freshwater cooling via heat exchanger, a 12V 1.4 kW starter and a 12V 125A alternator. It is offered with KM35P, KM35A, ZF25 or ZF25A marine gears, the SD60-5 saildrive, or bobtail, and is RCD 2 and EPA certified. Dry weight 192 kg (bobtail), 204 kg with KM35P.
