The Yanmar 3JH5E is a three-cylinder, naturally aspirated marine diesel from Yanmar's JH series, rated 28.7 kW (39 mhp) at 3000 rpm at the crankshaft from 1.642 L (88 x 90 mm bore x stroke). It uses mechanical direct injection, freshwater cooling via heat exchanger, a 12V 1.4 kW starter and mechanical controls. It is offered with KM35P or KM35A marine gears or the SD50 saildrive, and is certified to RCD 2, EPA Tier 2 and BSO II. Dry weight 173 kg without gear; dimensions given with KM35A gear.
