The Volvo Penta D2-55 is a 2.2 L (84 x 100 mm bore x stroke) four-cylinder marine diesel rated 41 kW (55 hp) at the crankshaft and 39 kW (53 hp) at the propeller shaft at 3000 rpm (ISO 8665). Compression ratio 23.3:1, freshwater cooling (approx. 9.5 L), 14 V / 115 A alternator, 2.0 kW starter. Dry weight 225 kg. Offered with the MS25 reverse gear or the 130S/150S sailboat drive (2.19:1). Engine oil approx. 10.5 L, changed every 500 h or 12 months. CE-RCD certified.
